The volunteer shall be involved in the following activities:
During off time, the volunteer can visit the night club (However, I do not guarantee full security at late night). It is important for the volunteer to note that night time is not the best for anyone. Vigilance is therefore envisaged on the volunteer's part. South West Region where the project is implemented, is generally very safe for all.
In the day like week ends, the volunteer can visit the beach and swim and spend some time with nature. The volunteer can also visit the Limbe Wildlife Center (zoo) and see some animals common to our forests.
All of these activities are at the volunteer's cost. Our beaches are good. There is the Seme beach and others in the West Coast of Limbe. The volunteer who likes to swim in the sea would love to go there during leisure hours - public holidays and weekends.
-Transport contribution to project site (radio and villages)
-Contribution for training material and snacks during training workshops
-Support for office running costs (water, electricity)
-Accommodation - this depends on the type of accommodation you need. There are single rooms.
-Airport pick up
We provide airport pick up. On knowing the time of arrival at Douala Airport, we arrange for a vehicle to pick up the person and drive straight to Buea. For every field work activity we provide the means of travel depending on the distance. This is included in the volunteer charge (fees).
one room fairly furnished - bed, cane chairs, utensils gaz plate. Whether the room will be shared or occupied just by one persons will depend on the choice(s) of the volunteer(s). Generally we have apartments of 2 bedrooms, 3 bedrooms and single rooms with differing prices. The volunteers' preferences matter in this regard.
