Volunteers get involved in primary teaching classes 1-6, baby classes, Nursery class, pre-care and pre-unit, sports like recreational activities, outdoor activities, modeling, rope jumping, lesson planning using educational approved curriculum books, and timetable structuring. Examining and grading, feeding ie helping to give food during lunch to the school children. Documenting pupils result in their report books after terminal examinations, providing assessment tests on monthly basis, preparation of teaching aids, materials for visual education.This is done at Kipepeo Community Education Centre

Free-time activities

During free time volunteer can engage in recreational activities, like playing games, hiking the nearest hills, running sack races, visiting Kakamega rainforest on a long weekend, going for a boat ride in lake Victoria, visiting Kisumu museum, going shopping and access to fast internet services in Kisumu City which is 30 kilometres from our project location of which here volunteers can join music concerts for the night, go for safari tour in Maasai Mara National Reserve, tour lake Nakuru National Park, climbing mount Longonot, bike tour in Hell's Gate National Park.

Visa, flights, travel insurance or vaccinations are NOT included in the program fees.

No worries, Volunteer World supports you in raising funds, checking your visa regulations and travel insurance. We also assist you in finding the cheapest flights for your journey.

It’s located near the organization office and you will stay with a member of KCEP, you receive your own separate room, bathroom is outside the house. The house is permanent with electricity supply and water available on the tank.

You can volunteer at the project site in Luanda/Kenya between 4 weeks and 48 weeks. Please note that the above shown program fees are estimated and subject to exchange rate fluctuations. Kipepeo Community Empowerment will tell you your final price during your application process.
Average Fees
Deposit (15%)
The deposit is simply to reserve your volunteer placement. Payments are handled by PayPal, our trusted global payment provider. If you don't have a PayPal account, you can also pay using a credit card.
Final Payment (85%)
Your final payment will be agreed with Kipepeo Community Empowerment during the application process. Common solutions are either via bank transfer or a cash payment at the project site.
