Project Coordinator

Responsible for day-to-day implementation and planning of activities coordinating and supervising trainers and volunteers.

As a volunteer you will
Help to deliver office support and assist with administrative tasks
Help to develop and write project proposals, write grant proposals, help in fundraising, sensitizing the community about health and sanitation.
Help to establish, design and implement resource mobilization plans to generate support and income for priorities of Empower and Care Organization (EACO) projects with support from the resource mobilization office.

Free-time activities

Over thee weekends we can organize and visit some of the tourist places, this will be at your own expense and can include: Source of the Nile in Jinja, Water falls, Game parks and others.There are many other tourism opportunities in Uganda.
We recommend you to have some extra weekly budget for your other expenses such as bottled water, personal items, beverages, and entertainment.

• Accommodation: in Mukono, EACO can arrange for volunteers to stay with a local family or in a guest house. In Maracha the volunteer must stay with the project co-ordinator in the area.

What's NOT included?
Visa, flights, travel insurance or vaccinations are NOT included in the program fees.

No worries, Volunteer World supports you in raising funds, checking your visa regulations and travel insurance. We also assist you in finding the cheapest flights for your journey.
Airport Pickup

We provide airport pick up to and from the airport as well as to the project sites.

Accommodation

Accommodation at EACO is simple but comfortable. We can accommodate more than ten persons at any given time. You can also decide to share with some Families of the Caretakers or in a guest house. Volunteers have their own room which is secured with a door lock. Two volunteers can share a room but each one must have his/her own bed. Our guest-house has western (flushing toilet). There is electricity and a generator is available for use when electricity fails to work.

Volunteers are provided with 3 meals per day and that is Breakfast, lunch and Supper. Water is also provided with some fruits.

You can volunteer at the project site in Mukono/Uganda between 2 weeks and 50 weeks. Please note that the above shown program fees are estimated and subject to exchange rate fluctuations. Empower and Care Organization will tell you your final price during your application process.
Average Fees
$140/week
Deposit (15%)
The deposit is simply to reserve your volunteer placement. Payments are handled by PayPal, our trusted global payment provider. If you don't have a PayPal account, you can also pay using a credit card.
Final Payment (85%)
Your final payment will be agreed with Empower and Care Organization during the application process. Common solutions are either via bank transfer or a cash payment at the project site.
