Protect the rainforest - help maintain forest trails and reforestation work. Take care of the guests and accompany excursions.
The lodge where you will realize your volunteer work is located 35 km southwest of Limón, not far from the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. On about 850 hectares a German-founded Costa Rican eco-lodge provides ecotourism and conservation programs. Their land is next to se famous national park 'La Amistad', which ist known for its incredible biodiversity.
Guests from all over the world come to the eco-lodge to enjoy the nature and the cozy lodging, and to make excursions to the rainforest (on horseback or on foot).
The main interest of the founders is the protection of the animals and the environment in which they live. The project area is kind of a private nature reserve. Thanks to a water conservation project in the Limón district about 70,000 people have access to clean drinking water
You will learn a lot to understand the rainforest, the natural habitat of thousands of exotic animals and plants.
