Rehabilitation Center Assistant

serve in either a home for children with mental and physical disabilities, or at a school that offers special education for children with disabilities,

Volunteers can work in the morning or afternoon for 4 to 5 hours a day. Volunteers will have time to organize creative and recreational activities, take the patients for walks, and help the nurses with serving meals. All of the children are from severely underprivileged homes. Therefore, the children stay at the homecare day and night, where parents and family can come to visit them.

The children at the project  require a lot of care, attention and most importantly, companionship. Since the children with physical and mental disabilities don't have access to the care they need, they often remain completely dependent on their families for the duration of their lives. Volunteers can provide a positive influence in the homecare  providing a resource that they would otherwise not have access to, you can give people with disabilities a chance to gain the confidence and skills they need to grow into independent adults.
