Social Worker to support women

The volunteer will support the staff teams in mobilization and sensitization of poor women to form groups. She will help in training in SHG concept.

  1. Volunteers will Mobilization and sensitization,
  2. form SHG groups and train the members in book keeping.
  3. Formation of Cluster Level Associations (CLAs).
  4. Strengthening of the weak SHGs,  existing CLAs and the capacity of community facilitators.
  5. Orient CLAs in federation.
  6. Formation of Unions of CLAS.
  7. monitor and nature people institutions
  8. volunteers will train members in leadership and advocacy skills
  9. linkage of SHG to NGO and public institutions for holistic development
  10. volunteers will train members about domestic violence and ways to stop it. Women will be trained about gander and their own rights.

Your helping hand will be required on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 08:30 - 17:00

During the weekend volunteers can move to nearby places or sports centers to engage in this free time activities. Volunteers can visit national and game parks during the weekend. move to nearby beaches and countries such as Rwanda, Tanzania and Congo.

You can volunteer at the project site in Masaka/Uganda between 4 weeks and 48 weeks. Please note that the above shown program fees are estimated and subject to exchange rate fluctuations. NIRP Uganda will tell you your final price during your application process.
Average Fees
Deposit (15%)
The deposit is simply to reserve your volunteer placement. Payments are handled by PayPal, our trusted global payment provider. If you don't have a PayPal account, you can also pay using a credit card.
Final Payment (85%)
Your final payment will be agreed with NIRP Uganda during the application process. Common solutions are either via bank transfer or a cash payment at the project site.
