Social workers

Volunteers will be working with women groups in teaching them business enhancement, also forming more groups with a help of Childline Uganda staff

We need social workers who are able to help us in man-power to form groups in far villages outside the office area. The volunteer will be required to work for at least 4 hours a day. There other projects in the organization that the volunteer can work on like Children's project where they are involved in music, handcrafts, games, e.t.c. The volunteer may carry some gifts for children. The volunteer must be ready to move long distances for work.
You are free to come any time you want. There is a volunteer house where all volunteers can sleep which makes them easier to go for work. Weekends are free and volunteers can go for touring activities with guidance from reputable companies. Ladies should follow the local dressing code (relatively long skirts- passed the knees and dresses).
The volunteers will be required to write a report of his/her work on a weekly basis to help us track the records of the volunteer in our organization.

Free-time activities

All these activities are provided by the tours and travel companies. We can connect you to these companies. Volunteers can visit some special places on weekends and after work. Places like archeological cultural caves, Mt. Rwenzori in western Uganda, local lake, beautiful forests, e.t.c. The volunteers can also enjoy sports activities in his/her free time like football, and also doing some yoga. We have places like the Uganda museum that has many old things from East Africa, cultural tombs of Buganda, Zoo and game parks to see different animals like gorillas, giraffe, e.t.c.

Visa, flights, travel insurance or vaccinations are NOT included in the program fees.

Airport Pickup

we pickup the volunteer from the airport to the project site and also provide transport to the field of work in far villages. These fees do not include touring to other place, if you need tour we can connect you to tours and travel company but you will be charged extra money.


IT is a big room with a bathroom inside but we use buckets for showering. the living room can accomodate five people and it is suitable for a group of people. The accommodation is near our office.

this includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We also provide drinking water and juice if needed. Usually the food is local.

You can volunteer at the project site in Kampala/Uganda between 1 weeks and 8 weeks. Please note that the above shown program fees are estimated and subject to exchange rate fluctuations. Childline Uganda Mityana will tell you your final price during your application process.
Average Fees
Deposit (15%)
The deposit is simply to reserve your volunteer placement. Payments are handled by PayPal, our trusted global payment provider. If you don't have a PayPal account, you can also pay using a credit card.
Final Payment (85%)
Your final payment will be agreed with Childline Uganda Mityana during the application process. Common solutions are either via bank transfer or a cash payment at the project site.
