Train our local boys and girls soccer teams and support them during the matches on weekends.
Dream Africa Care Foundation (DACF) started the soccer project in 2010 with some volunteers who were interested in sports. This was to occupy children after school instead of making them loiter about in the society. This project was mainly for boys but later in 2014, Dream Africa partnered with Believe Elijah (Coach Little) who is a refreree and coach by profession and has a lot of passion for sports but needed support. DACF agreed that coach little coaches the team. He is also the project co-ordinator. Coach Little also introduced a girls team
If you have a love for sports and a little sporting ability, then you could play an important part in the personal development of young sports men and women in Ghana. Our sports projects include soccer or football, basketball, net ball coaching in schools and communities. Volunteer Sports Coaching Placement takes you on a sport coaching which can have a very positive impact on children. As well as the obvious physical and mental benefits that regular exercise provides, there are many inherent life-skills to be learnt, such as the importance of team-work, communication and discipline.
Wherever you travel in the world you will always find people who love sports. Sports bring people together and help to build strong communities, as well as contribute to the creation of healthy, happy individuals. Sports can also provide a much-needed distraction from more negative aspects of people’s lives and, to many people from disadvantaged backgrounds, it can offer a route out of poverty and a path of excitement and promise. Sports projects share the following aims
Fostering of local sports talent through provision of quality coaches and support for our volunteer trainee coaches. Development of the wider communities in which we work through offering alternatives to young people from impoverished areas.
As a volunteer coach Sports Project, you will be helping with all these aspects of development while working with the most enthusiastic people in some of the poorest communities in Ghana, we can help you make the most of your time. We will help you find a schedule that is right for you. You could be learning more about your sport in the morning and organizing a game in the afternoon. Volunteer sports coaches are responsible for helping in the organization in all aspects of training; from setting up drills and fitness sessions, to coaching sports teams in competitive games.
Through well-established relationships with local teams, clubs, and carefully structured sports placements, we are able to assist volunteers regardless of coaching experience. Whatever your interests we can find the right Sports project overseas for you!

Ghana has so much to offer to volunteers, with its rich culture, festivals, food, art & craft centers, castles & forts, long sandy beaches, national parks, waterfalls, rain forest and other interesting places to visit.
The DACF management organizes several trips to discover Ghana’s culture, nature and most relaxing places.
Our driver and a staff member will pick you up from the airport and bring you to the place where you will stay. You will visit the project together with other experienced volunteers on the next workday.
You can choose to stay with a local host family or stay in our volunteer house. It depends on the location where you want to be placed. Our main location is the volunteer house in Accra, where you will be living with around 16 other volunteers from all over the world. We have four bedrooms with two bunk beds each and two shared bathrooms. The volunteer house is located in a very safe area in Ghana.
We have a cook in the volunteer house who prepares three meals a day for all the volunteers. We will prepare special food for you, if you have to follow a special diet. The food is mostly western, but we also offer local dishes to our volunteers. If you are placed in a host family you might have more local dishes.
