Pysical Education lessons in Primary Schools. Volleyball, hockey, football coaching with school teams.. Athletics in summer.

From 0900 to 1430 daily, Monday to Friday, we organise and run the Physical Education programme for boys and girls in a disadvantaged Primary School.

After school we coach and organise games for the school Under 11 and Under 13 football teams.
For Volleyball , hockey and netball enthusiasts the schools encourages these sports amongst the girls.Our volleyball project has been successful in arranging for pupils to be accepted at the Western Cape Sports High School.

We arrange mini-tournaments in all the sports.

In the summer, coaching and organisation of Athletics in preperation for interschool competition.

We have travelled extensively throughout southern Africa and will be pleased to share our interest and knowledge. If you intend to travel within Southern Africa email us beforehand as there are flight options that may make your journeying easier.

Cape Town is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world and consisitantly voted as a top destination by international travellers. Cape Town is a vibrant yet relaxed city offering International entertainment, sport and culture. During free time volunteers can climb Table Mountain, ( the less energetic can take the cable car ), take a trip to historic Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was inprosoned for 27 years, tour the Wine Estates where you can sample the merchandise, visit the comical penguins at Boulders Beach before heading on to the Cape of Good Hope, laze on beautiful white sandy beaches, take part in adventure programmes such as Bungy Jumping from the Highest Bridge Bungy in the World, cage dive with Great White Sharks, take a boat trip to the massive Southern Right Whales off the coast,( July to December ) and abseil off Table Mountain.

You will not be in dormitory or bunk-style accommodation. You may have to share a room and bathroom with another volunteer.

Our accommodation is centrally situated and you can walk to the V.& A Waterfront, the city centre, museums, and the nightlife of Long Street.

The Atlantic beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton are only 10 minutes by taxi cab

You can volunteer at the project site in Cape Town/South Africa between 2 weeks and 12 weeks. Please note that the above shown program fees are estimated and subject to exchange rate fluctuations. Volunteers Direct will tell you your final price during your application process.
Average Fees
Deposit (15%)
The deposit is simply to reserve your volunteer placement. Payments are handled by PayPal, our trusted global payment provider. If you don't have a PayPal account, you can also pay using a credit card.
Final Payment (85%)
Your final payment will be agreed with Volunteers Direct during the application process. Common solutions are either via bank transfer or a cash payment at the project site.
