Sports volunteering

Volunteers will take part in physical activities with children and they will think of areas to train them in.

Sports volunteering attracts alot of participants from all over the world.Children like to get involved in this program with volunteers.Volunteers can create an activity and also help the children to get involved.

Volunteers in sport come in all shapes and sizes.They are of all ages and backgrounds. They have different skills and experiences and are certainly not all sport enthusiasts!

They also give their time to sport for different reasons – some are parents with children in a sport club, some are people who don’t want to go running, walking, swimming etc. by themselves, others are sport enthusiasts who don’t want to play but want to be part of their local club. They might also be plumbers, electricians, accountants, web designers etc. who give their time for free - there are many different reasons but the main thing is that they all want to get involved and help make sport happen.

Any body ages 16 and above is welcome to participate in this program.

Participants can come up with creativity to involve all the children get into all activities.They can do several sports like -Football,Physical Education and many more activities..

Other Skills
Ability to play with children and youth is the first qualification.
Also skills in children sports trainer is most welcome to join this program.
Time Commitment
Your helping hand will be required on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 08:30 - 04:30

Free-time activities

Kenya is very best attractions for both international and local tourists.
In Nairobi there is the biggest national park in the city,in other words,the only national park in the capital city in the whole world-Nairobi national park ,which has a variety of wildlife.
-In Nairobi we have –Girraffe centre,Snake park,Elephat orphanage,Mamba village [crocodile],national museums of Kenya,Bomas of Kenya [cultural dancers] and other may parks in the city.Its a city which is cool next to Ngong forest with warm and sometimes cool climate.Volunteers can also visit the biggest national parks in Kenya e.g masai mara,amboseli and also have have mt climbing e.g mt Kilimanjaro.
Volunteers can opt to visit all these areas and also generaly,in Kenya we are the best tourist destination in Africa with a lot of historic site.

What's included?
-3 meals a day
-Airport pick up of 50 usd is not inclusive.
Participants will get 3 meals a day and accommodation.Volunteers will he hosted by a family.The families are not far from the the project.They walk from the accommodation to the program centre.
Participants become members of the family and can get involved in the family activities and join families in any visits in the country.
What's NOT included?
Visa, flights, travel insurance or vaccinations are NOT included in the program fees.

No worries, Volunteer World supports you in raising funds, checking your visa regulations and travel insurance. We also assist you in finding the cheapest flights for your journey.
Accommodation

Accommodation is not far from the the program center.The accommodation have bathrooms and hot shower.
Home stays are very safe,very welcoming members .Participants will be able to share rooms with a family member or another volunteer.Participants becomes automatic family members and so can be involved in so many family affairs or duties.Volunteers learn different cultures all together.

Family members provide drinks and not alcoholic.if they want alcoholic they buy for themselves.\
Participants are not allowed to carry alcoholic drinks in thee host family.They are also made aware that the family members will not be buying alcohol to them.But are free to taake from out side because its not included into the hosting fee.

You can volunteer at the project site in NAIROBI/Kenya between 2 days and 50 weeks. Please note that the above shown program fees are estimated and subject to exchange rate fluctuations. Havilla Childrens Centre will tell you your final price during your application process.
Average Fees
$80/week
Deposit (15%)
The deposit is simply to reserve your volunteer placement. Payments are handled by PayPal, our trusted global payment provider. If you don't have a PayPal account, you can also pay using a credit card.
Final Payment (85%)
Your final payment will be agreed with Havilla Childrens Centre during the application process. Common solutions are either via bank transfer or a cash payment at the project site.
