The project

This project takes place on the beautiful island province of Palawan whose vivid green mountains contrasts with the surrounding clear blue sea. You will have a chance to join the fishing practices and work in the fields/plantations which includes planting rice and vegetables, cutting rice and other chores. Your participation will be of great help to the poorer communities of Palawan and promotes a cultural exchange between yourself and the local people.

A truly enriching and life-changing experience awaits you in the fishing villages and fields of Palawan!

It is a country which bears the influence of the East and the West interwoven in all cultural aspects but mostly visible in the architecture and religion. Though it is a secular state, due to its Spanish influence the Philippines is one of the two Roman Catholic countries in Asia with a Christian population of about 90%. The country is the twelfth most populous country in the world and is divided in three main parts - Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
