This is a programme to empower women in rural areas to be self sustaining and reduce overdependence on men.Most of those supported are widows

Community Agriculture and Environmental Protection Association Cameroon (CAEPA Cameroon) is a non political, non profit making organization whose mission is to enhance community health, agriculture and environmental protection within Cameroonian communities and beyond.

 CAEPA Cameroon is looking for volunteers to join existing rural development projects that contribute to the wellbeing of communities especially women. Both short and long term volunteers are welcome.

Volunteers will train women on book keeping and finance management,visit them during market hours to check their cash books and provide advice.Volunteer will fundraise to fund more women.Build a data base for beneficiaries and map out change stories

Free-time activities

CAEPA Cameroon volunteers will contribute to the wellbeing of women especially widows. Both short and long term volunteers are welcome.Volunteers during their free time will have the opportunity to visit meuseum,waterfalls,botanic gardens as well as the Ndawara Tea estate and its rich biodiversity.They might also like to take a week end trip to the Limbe wildlife Centre to see different primates that exist in Cameroon,the botanic garden as well as eat grill fish at the Limbe beach.Why not visit the historic slave trade market a transit points were slaves we bought and shipped to America.

What's included?
An airport pick-up costs $150 which includes the cost of transport by bus, taxi hire from the airport, hotel for one night, and food and water needed during the journey to Bamenda. Travelling by bus from Douala to the project area will take about 8 hours.
What's NOT included?
Visa, flights, travel insurance or vaccinations are NOT included in the program fees.

There is a gas cooker provided by CAEPA Cameroon but volunteers will need to buy their own gas.It will cost $112 per month.

Deposit (20%)
The deposit is simply to reserve your volunteer placement. Payments are handled by PayPal, our trusted global payment provider. If you don't have a PayPal account, you can also pay using a credit card.
Final Payment (80%)
Your final payment must be made up to 30 days before to the volunteer program starts. This payment is also securely handled by PayPal or credit card.
