Community development has gained importance in Kenyan society by enhancing the involvement of community members in sustainable agricultural practices.
Volunteers can choose to arrange for a safari tour in one of the parks around or have community home visits that will enable you learn more of the local culture and language. In case volunteers choose to go for a safari we shall be at hand to assist in the arrangements
Volunteers will be picked up at the airport upon arrival and directed to the accommodation awaiting the orientation before placement to the project. One of the staff members will be at the airport with a pager displaying your name on it hence it will be easy for you to identify the person.
In most cases all our volunteers are accommodated by host families to enable them be integrated faster in the local community. In the accommodation bathrooms, toilets and kitchen will be provided.
Volunteers will have food together with the host family. You will be provided with three meals a day and in case you are a vegetarian or allergic to any foods please let us know in advance so that we can alert the family during our project preparation.
