Teaching Assistant

To participate in Educational activities at Early Learning centers, Primary schools, and Vocational training centers.

Teaching assistant volunteering activities.

Basic education allows children to live a better, more productive life, and increases their choices and opportunities for the future. In the long term, if vulnerable children acquire skills and training, they will be in a better position to support themselves and their families.

In our bid to promote and provide accessibility to Educational services to Vulnerable children, we partner with up to 110 Government aided primary schools and 10 Privately owned primary schools across the country. We also have up to 10 early learning centers that we support and are attached to different churches. These learning centers offers great opportunities for Researchers, Volunteers and Internies.
Lessons are mainly conducted in English, as it is the official language of Uganda and are also conducted by a class teacher who is supervised by the School Headteacher. Schools are open between 8am to 5pm East African time, Monday to Friday. We attach  Volunteers to a school of his or her choice, a class of his  choice, a subject of his or her specialty and for a period of his or her convenience as it is prearranged upon arrival.
There are a variety of learning subjects available to volunteer in including; International languages like English, French, Germany and other subjects like science, Music dance and drama, mathematics, social studies. Extra Curricular activities like sports, athletics, and physical exercises are equally available for volunteering.  A volunteer works with a school teacher, supervised, guided and taken care of by our Staff in collaboration with school Headteacher.

Butaleja Vocational Technical Institute is our main Vocational training center that we partner with in additional to many other small informal technical training centers where we attach our Children for training. Here, we have a variety of opportunities for internship and volunteering such as; Tailoring, Hair dressing, Carpentry and joinery works, metal works, Brick laying and electrical Engineering. All class works and practical training are conducted in English under a professional tutor to whom we attach our volunteers or internies.

You can also volunteer with us during the distribution of scholastic material like books, pens, pencils, mathematical sets. There are also other social responsibility activities like class room-painting, cleaning exercises, class room construction works in which we involve our volunteers.
We also conduct community, school teachers, local leaders and parents sensitization meetings on the value of Education for Orphans and other Vulnerable children which offers a great avenue for volunteering, internship and research. Here, you work with local leaders, our staff and other volunteer facilitators.
