Teaching new skills to children to improve their own fitness and techniques in a range of different sports
Physical education, is an ideal destination for volunteers who want to coach Physical Education (PE) to children. By taking part in our Physical Education project, volunteers will not only be involved in learning new skills and improving their own fitness, but will also be able to pass on their own sports knowledge to local children. In Zimbabwe, volunteers can choose to focus on teaching physical education to children in preschools and other primary schools or choose to combine working at a school with training at a track & field club. By taking part on this project you will gain a large amount of work experience working alongside skilled staff and athletes.And you can identify talented children.As a volunteer teaching physical education in schools, you will teach a variety of sports to children aged 11 to 16 at a local middle and high school. Each class has two PE lessons per week, so your day will be spent teaching a variety of age groups
The program is from Monday to Friday.
Programs start every 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, with arrival Sunday prior to the program start at HIA (Harare International Airport).This programs are available all year round.
Upon arrival you will be picked up at the airport and driven to the volunteer house or coordinator’s place.During 1-3 days, depending on the length of your voluntary work, you will get a general briefing. These first days will offer you glimpses into the Shona language, as well as Zimbabwe's various cultures, religions, and local ways of life.
This introduction will be held in Mutare, Harare depending on your work area.
Volunteers will be able to visit the local nature resorts like Bvumba Nature Resorts,Botanical Garden and Inyati Eco Game Reserve.The will be able to different animals and nature species like flora and fauna.
Volunteers will be picked at a Harare lnternational Airport by the local staff and delivered to their project site.
We will provide a comfortable and friendly accommodation at a volunteer house or home stay with host family.
3 meals per day, 7 days per week at the volunteer house or host family.
Coaching is a great way to benefit the youth, while having fun and developing leadership skills yourself.
Help in a community project, working alongside locals and helping counseling and homework for the orphans living in Sakubva Mutare.
For volunteers hoping to learn about shona culture, participating in a Zimbabwean immersion program is the way to go. Your classes will be taught completely in English.
We'd love to hear from volunteers with musical instruments and capabilities to share and play music with our children.
On our business projects you will work alongside experienced professionals as well as less qualified individuals who will benefit from your guidance.
