Women Empowerment Assistant

This project was created due to the desire to combine Tanzanian Fashion with a good cause. Volunteers will do e.g. marketing and product development.

Tanzanian women are not seen as equal to men. In many cases they are not allowed to inherit and are often affected by poverty when they are old. Usually, they are not allowed to have a free will and they must submit to men. But perceptions are changing! Not only through projects like  African Wear Design. Women start to women start to speak out for their rights, want to earn their own income and don't want to depend on men any longer.

The project
