This Project is an exciting project for Youth & Senior travelers coming to India. Please welcome to join SMILE for Yoga/Meditation workshop and community services.

Do you like to bring Enlightenment in your mind and health through Yoga & Meditation in India.An international platform to learn Yoga & meditation is the main theme of this project.SMILE Society ( Situational Management & Inter Learning Establishment Society) is a registered NGO & NPO working in the field of International volunteering. Energetic youth from round the world gathered together to learn Indian  yoga and meditation to bring Enlightenment in their life and Cure them and learn each other culture.
Location: MADHYAMGRAM, 22km from kolkata city center.
 India is always been famous for yoga & meditation . While volunteering in this project  youth can have chance to interact with Indian culture and yoga/Meditation . Volunteers and local family together exchange the culture . Youth volunteers have golden chance to know about the ethnic heritage of East Indian tradition . It would a great fun filled time for groups.
In this camp volunteers from round the world would have chance to exchange culture,language,food etc. Yoga and meditation class would be the main part of this project.. It would be fun fill entertainment project where Indian family and international youth can have a platform to each other culture and life style. Camp would take place in the suburb call Madhyamgram which is just 8 km from Kolkata Airport .Transportation, electricity,shopping places are all around.Nearest rail and bus station is with in 2 km .Life is very simple and peaceful around.
Apart from Yoga and Meditation workshop every Volunteer would help in different good causes like helping SMILE NGO in organic farming , painting on school building for poor children, online promotional Assistant, Animal shelter and any other Manual Assistant as per available  during their stay at SMILE House India. Work responsibilities would be given by the Project In-charge as per available after having discussed with volunteers during orientation meeting on arrival. Volunteering work can be changed as per available. In this project participants not only learn the strength of yoga and meditation but also have a chance to help the organisation in different volunteering activities. 

Typical day

Example Daily Schedule: 
Wake up early morning: 8 am
Breakfast: 8:30 am ( required to  prepared by own)
Project hour :Manual activities like painting, cleaning, gardening between 10-12 noon 
Lunch at 1-2  p.m 
late afternoon activity: 3-5pm, Yoga and Meditation 
Diner : 7 pm ( volunteers required help themselves in serving ,washing )
After 8 pm exit door would be closed.No one allowed to go out or come in the accommodation after 8 pm everyday including weekends.
9:30 bed time
Please remember that  programme schedule or project site can be changed or altered by the Project In-charge if required and all volunteers are requested to cooperate with our local members and partners. All schedule should be followed and mandatory for everyone to participate and contribute

Free-time activities

Weekends are free for volunteers. It is the time volunteer can explore the city centre (self organised). INDIA is an amazing country with diverse  culture and tradition .Interesting people ! Explore the country with exciting diversity .Kolkata ,the city of joy was known before as Calcutta since the colonial time. This ancient city was used to be the capital of British colonial period. This city has full of heart ,people are basically belongs to the middle class . There are also rich and poor people all around . City Kolkata is know for its busy traffic ,huge population ,warm welcome and poverty around the street corners! It is a great place to visit for every tourist coming to India. More over if anyone get a chance to live with the local host family then that brings extra bonus to any traveller .It helps to learn the culture ,tradition,language while staying within the normal people of the society.Living on any hotel can never give any traveller such wide scope to know the society and communities as a whole. Kolkata( itself is a great tourist place with its historical value ) is well connected with many famous and attractive tourist places.

In order to join the program you need to be at least 18 years old on the program start date. There might be exemptions if you can provide the permission of your legal guardian(s) or if your are accompanied by your parents.

On-site services

3 meals, shared room (bunk bed, 2-4 volunteers in a room) at local host family, Airport pickup, Limited wifi service, language classes, yoga and Meditation classes.

Shared room (2-4 volunteers in a room on bunk bed and group dorm rooms are also available). Common Western toilets are available.

Flight Tickets
The nearest airport is Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Airport (CCU) in Kolkata. We assist you to find cheap flights to India.
Travel Insurance
Going abroad is an adventure and it is always best to be prepared. Sudden illness or injury, cancellation or theft - a travel insurance for India provides security and is a plus to have.
If you are intending to volunteer in India you should seek medical advice before starting your social journey. Check your required vaccinations for India.

Average fees

You can volunteer at the project site in Kolkata/India between 4 weeks and 12 weeks. Please note that the above shown program fees are estimated and subject to exchange rate fluctuations. SMILE Society, India will let you know about the final price during your application process.
Crowdfunding Service
Generally, volunteering abroad involves certain costs. In case you need financial support, we will assist you to fundraise your volunteer program in India.
Deposit (15%)
The deposit is simply to reserve your volunteer placement. Payments are handled by PayPal, our trusted global payment provider. If you don't have a PayPal account, you can also pay using a credit card.
Final Payment (85%)
Your final payment will be agreed with SMILE Society, India during the application process. Common solutions are either via bank transfer or a cash payment at the project site.
