About the program
Gain professional experience in teaching English to local communities in San José!
Education internship placements are in private or International Baccalaureate (IB) schools. The classes you teach and/or assist with are in English, and the schools are typically bilingual. Interns are paired with a designated faculty member at the school and report directly to them.
Typical day
Working hours vary by placement, but interns can expect to work 4-6 hours per day, Monday to Friday, at around 8 or 9 AM. 1-hour Spanish classes are Monday to Friday, and interns may have additional planning or tasks to do outside of work. Weekends are free to relax, explore, travel, or do any ...

Within San José, participants can take a city tour, see shows at the National Theatre, visit the central market, and go zip-lining.
