Ndibwami Integrated Rescue Project implements a self help group concept among vulnerable women affected by poverty and AIDS.

Self-help groups (SHG's) are seen as instruments for goals including empowering women, developing leadership abilities among poor people, increasing school enrollments, and improving nutrition and the use of birth control. Financial intermediation is generally seen more as an entry point to these other goals.

One another goal of the SHG's is the stop exploitation of the women from financial crisis.
