Om programmet

The project

This project takes place on the beautiful island province of Palawan whose green mountains match with the surrounding clear blue sea. The local community can not always provide the necessary education for their children, who do not have many opportunities to learn or practice English. This project allows you to explore authentic Filipino life and to get involved in the day-to-day operations of a childcare facility in the Tigman area or teach English from grade 1 to 12 in the municipality of Aborlan. You will teach English to the children in a fun and engaging way and contribute to enhancing their chances for personal and career development in the future. This is an opportunity to lead an informal and fun English class and arrange various activities such as conversation and grammar exercises, playing music and songs, playing games, sports and arts. You can come up with creative, fun and engaging ways to teach practical English to the children who are very curious to find out about your background, your country, family and friends. You can also choose to support the local kindergarten staff with taking care of the children (combing hair, cutting nails etc).

You will have a truly unique experience teaching children on one of the most beautiful islands in the world!

The location

The Philippines is an incredible destination to discover and experience with bountiful flora and fauna across more than 7,000 islands of which only 2000 are inhabited. It is a country which bears the influence of the East and the West interwoven in all cultural aspects but mostly visible in the architecture and religion.
