The girl's home serves as a safe space for young girls who have been subject of physical and psychological abuse.

The girl’s home receives girls who have been subject of exploitation or various types of
abuse. The home strives to create a safe space where the girls receive education, are taught
to raise their self-esteem and help them look for good opportunities as they reach

adulthood.

The girl’s home receives girls who have been subject of exploitation or various types of
abuse. The home strives to create a safe space where the girls receive education, are taught
to raise their self-esteem and help them look for good opportunities as they reach

adulthood.

Some of the girls in the home live there permanently and some of them only spend parts of
the day there receiving education.
Volunteers are encouraged to teach life skills ,pass on their knowledge and can help in:
-Educational workshops teaching skills like: cooking, baking, handicrafts,etc.
-Support in subjects like: computer literacy,art, math,English.
-Emotional and self esteem support.
-Cooking for the girl’s at the home.

-Creating educational material.

The project is available year long and due to the nature of the work, it only accepts
female volunteers.
Minimum commitment: 4 weeks.

A regular day starts around 8 am with various tasks such as:

-Educational workshops teaching skills like: cooking, baking, handicrafts,etc.
-Support in subjects like: computer literacy,art, math,English.
-Emotional and self esteem support.
-Cooking for the girl’s at the home.

Around 1 pm there is break ...

-Cooking for the girl’s at the home.

Around 1 pm there is break for lunch with the girls at the home.

Volunteers can work half shift in the morning or afternoon or work full day 8 am-5pm.

Cusco is a great destination for outdoor lovers, serving as great starting point for hikes, mountain biking, climbing, multi-day trips and more.


The many activities are available year-round depending on weather conditions. Asides from outdoor adventures, Cusco offers a wide range of museums, restaurants, pubs, cafes and events. Cultural experiences are also widely available ,as Cusco is the center of the Andean Peruvian culture. Volunteers can join spiritual retreats , traditional textile weaving, pottery classes and more.


Cusco offers a vast amount of archeological Incan sites to explore, among them the crown jewel of Peru, the ruins of Machu Picchu.

• Accommodations with a host family with 2 meals per day for all  programs  or dormitory with 3 meals per day in some projects.

Volunteers are provided with airport pickup from Cuzco International airport on specified dates for free. Arrangements for the pickup are made after application .


Indkvartering

Participants are placed in a welcoming Peruvian host family that provides them with a room, a place to store their belongings, a share bathroom , and two meals per day.

Integrated Learning Experiences was founded in 2005 by former Peace Corps staff that wanted to provide flexible volunteer programs with a positive impact.

Integrated Learning Experiences’ (INLEX) mission is to strengthen human resources in Central America and South America through volunteer programs, educational travel and internship opportunities.

In addition to this, INLEX provides opportunities for students and professionals to further gain experience in their field of choice by matching participants with the best opening available.

INLEX was set founded by former Peace Corps staff in Guatemala in 2005 who wanted to provide flexible programs for volunteers in Central America. This flexibility allows our participants the option to commit for as long as they want in the area they are best suited to support; creating a positive impact and a rewarding experience. We do this because we believe in the principle that every volunteer can make a difference.

Many years and happy people later, we continue working with key partner projects to develop communities in the Latin American region.
