Playing sports teaches lessons of life, such as teamwork, accountability, self-confidence, responsibility, and self-discipline. Sports in school help prepare students to face the challenges of life. They enhance physical and mental abilities of students and help them achieve the goals of their life.

Interns do not teach independently and only support local Sport teachers in the learning environment. The students range in age from 3 to 12 years and follow the Greek curriculum of teaching. The aim of this project is to help stimulate an interest in learning Sports among the students and to support the teachers when needed. This placement is ideal for interns that like to work in a structured environment.

Intern tasks may include assisting local Physical education teachers during their lessons, helping the local teachers and staff with warm-up exercises, stretching exercises, team building exercises, sports, administration work, classroom preparation, cleaning and re-arrangements as well as practicing English with children through educational games and making sure they are safe during break time.

Interns are always encouraged to bring a part of their culture to the daily lives of the children by playing educational games for learning the basics of the English language while exercising!

Interns need to take initiative, improvise and be flexible and willing to get involved in a variety of different tasks as needed.
