    Program Overview

The program takes place at a non-governmental organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating injured, sick, neglected, and abandoned animals. They provide veterinary care and shelter for domestic species and native wildlife, particularly small mammals.

The program is particularly suitable for those considering careers in veterinary medicine, animal sciences, zoology, wildlife rehabilitation, and animal welfare

    Important Considerations

Animal care and wildlife rehabilitation require patience, responsibility, and flexibility. Daily tasks include feeding, cleaning, and maintaining animal accommodation. Direct animal handling is subject to staff instructions and welfare considerations. This is primarily an animal care and rehabilitation support internship rather than a clinical veterinary placement. Medical procedures, rescue interventions, and wildlife releases are not guaranteed.
