The project
As the name suggests, this project is based on the lines of public awareness and includes a feeding program for malnourished children. This is a very unique and a one-of-its-kind program where in volunteers can contribute for the welfare and development of an entire community as a whole.
Philippines has had a history of encountering natural disasters on a trot; such as typhoons, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, etc. This has increased the risk of malnutrition; especially, among infants. The project mainly focus on the areas of food habits, hygiene, nutritional intake, baby feeding, and matters related to healthy diet. The main aim is to rectify and improve the malnourished condition of infants, especially, those born in low-income communities.
Volunteer work
Under this project, volunteers have to organize seminars and workshops for the local and the rural communities and enlighten them about the benefits of a balanced diet and maintaining nutritional plans. Through these information rich workshops, volunteers have to convince the parents to create a food habit that is rich in vital nutrients and nourishing for the kids. These learning have to be imparted keeping in view that the locals do not compromise on their personal savings. The goals of the project are two-fold.
