Currently, volunteer program is available in Dharamsala location. Dharamsala offers magnificent views of the snow covered Himalayan peaks, pine forests and tea gardens. Full of life yet also peaceful, Dharamsala offers the perfect destination for volunteer work in India. Not surprisingly, His Holiness the Dalai Lama holds residency in the area. The region, despite its natural beauty, is cut off from main stream development and is in need of developmental assistance in both materials and human form. The communities we assist are set in the green valleys at the foothills of the Himalayas and many of the children are from farming communities in the area.
Volunteer Role & Responsibilities:
- Teach the basics of English to the children, and create a playful environment by encouraging children to learn arts and crafts, singing, dancing, grammar etc.Teach
- As a Teaching English volunteer you will teach students aged between 5 and 15 years old helping with pronunciation and word use.
- Become a volunteer teacher and inspire kids in India.
- Make a vital contribution to the education system in India and make a real difference in the lives of local Children.
- Improve the teaching standards by introducing fresh and exciting ideas.
- Interact with the local community and get to know friendly Indian Children.
- Teach basic computers to children & typing skills or Microsoft word and use of Internet.
It’s a fully guided program by iSpiice which combines fun & adventure! The Golden Triangle refers to the cities of Delhi, Agra, Jaipur. A wonderful journey to explore the capital city of Delhi, to witness the wonder of the world, Taj Mahal at Agra and admire the pink city of Jaipur. Collectively known as the "Golden Triangle," the cities of Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur offer a great introduction to North India. The Famous Golden Triangle trip followed by volunteering in Himalayas, at Dharamsala which gives you opportunity to volunteer with Children by teaching basic computers & English.
Itinerary
Here is a sample itinerary of what you might expect to see and do during these 3 weeks.
Day 1 (Sunday – Delhi)
Up on arrival in Delhi we will pick you from Delhi International Airport, you will be taken to a pre - booked hotel which we have already booked for you. Overnight Stay at Hotel in Delhi.

Day 2 (Monday – Delhi to Agra) 4 hours by train/cab
After Breakfast, your coordinator will discuss your program itinerary with volunteers for the days to come. Check out and get ready to witness Delhi including, India Gate, Akshardham Temple, Qutab Minar and Lotus Temple which are must see tourist places of Capital City India. Later we will transfer you to Agra by AC train/AC Cab. Upon arrival at Agra, check in at the hotel arranged for you. Overnight stay at Agra

Day 3 (Tuesday – Agra to Jaipur) 4 hours by train
Early Morning visit the world-famous Taj Mahal built by the Moghul Emperor Shahjehan. The Taj Mahal is considered to be one of the finest examples of Mughal architecture. One of the Seven Wonders of the World and famously known as the Monument of love. After a memorable visit to Taj Mahal, back to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast we will transfer you to Jaipur. Upon arrival in Jaipur, check in at the Hotel and relax for the day.

Day 4 (Wednesday - Jaipur) 4 hours by train/cab
After breakfast visit to historic Amber Fort visit various palaces and monuments on the fort. Visit the charming City Palace, Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds – Photo stop only) Jantar Mantar (a historic observatory) Check in at the Hotel and relax for the day. Overnight stay at Jaipur.

After breakfast proceed to Dharamsala by Train.

You will be drop off to Delhi International airport by an iSpiice team member to catch your departure flight
