The medical program is designed to give real-world experience under a clinical setting to medical students, professionals, and people in healthcare. This volunteer program is especially suitable for:
Age 18+
The medical program in India works inside nursing centers, hospitals, and dispensaries that provide free or very accessible healthcare in low-income areas of India in the area of Jaipur. While interns are assisting and supporting also can enjoy and explore Jaipur, the city is surrounded by hills and impressive buildings that represented forts.  Jaipur was established by the then Maharaja, Sawai Jai Singh in the year 1927. The graceful architecture of the City that runs across in pink color has earned Jaipur the title of "The Pink City".

Interns going into this program can also work in the field in free check-up camps set up in slums, community centers, schools, and daycares.

Requirements: Participants applying for this program must have formal education in the health field.  Pre-med participants ok to apply, but tasks are dependent upon experience.

    • Assist doctors and nurses sort patient data charts.
    • Support in administrative tasks.
    • Help in logistics of health camps.
    • Assist with patients taking vital signs and pre-check up
    • Help conduct free health workshops in slums.
    • Help conduct reproductive health seminars.
    • Assist doctors and nurses in small procedures as necessary(injections, prepping medical equipment, etc)
Medical internships in India are a great opportunity for medical students to gain real-world experience in a clinical setting.

Typical day

On a typical day, interns can go to the clinic during the day to work and to support doctors, nurses, and staff in the different activities. After the tasks and activities in the project, volunteers can enjoy the city of Jaipur doing different activities every afternoon.

Volunteers can work in the morning shift 8 am to 12pm or the 2pm-6pm work shift Monday to Friday. Shifts are assigned depending on the amount of volunteers and amount of patients.

A well-known Indian City, Jaipur was established by the then Maharaja, Sawai Jai Singh in the year 1927.  The graceful architecture of the City that runs across in pink color has earned Jaipur the title of "The Pink City". Jaipur is predominantly known for its musicians, artisans, and craftsmen. This majestic city is now visited by many people for its fine jewelry, beautiful textiles, and yummy cuisine.  

Volunteers can do different activities since exploring the great and nice city, tours in bicycle, learning dancing, enjoying the impressive architecture of important buildings, experience the tuk-tuks and many other activities that are offered in the place.



In order to join the program you need to be at least 18 years old on the program start date. There might be exemptions if you can provide the permission of your legal guardian(s) or if your are accompanied by your parents.

Participants must be proactive and take initiative, communication skills are important.
Time Commitment
Your helping hand will be required on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

Visa, flights, travel insurance or vaccinations are NOT included in the program fees.
Flight Tickets
The nearest airport is Jaipur Airport (JAI) in Jaipur. We assist you to find cheap flights to India.
Travel Insurance
Going abroad is an adventure and it is always best to be prepared. Sudden illness or injury, cancellation or theft - a travel insurance for India provides security and is a plus to have.
If you are intending to volunteer in India you should seek medical advice before starting your social journey. Check your required vaccinations for India.

Details on arrival

We recommend that you arrive at Jaipur on any Saturday, in time for Sunday's orientation. Work begins every Monday where you will be introduced to your project and tasks.

Deposit (15%)
The deposit is simply to reserve your volunteer placement. Payments are handled by PayPal, our trusted global payment provider. If you don't have a PayPal account, you can also pay using a credit card.
Final Payment (85%)
Your final payment will be agreed with Integrated Learning Experience during the application process. Common solutions are either via bank transfer or a cash payment at the project site.
