This volunteering program's main purpose is supporting children and youth from vulnerable backgrounds, such as those from low-income families or orphans. We work directly with community schools and adult schools, that benefit around six hundred children,of ages between 5 and 18, along with eighty-one families.

We recommend this volunteering program to teachers, students, teenage and young adult volunteers; anyone who wants to share their knowledge and put it into practice while also empowering Nepal's next generation.

Most of the teaching projects take place in Kathmandu, although there are other programs in Pokhara, Chitwan, and Gorkha.

Through this programs, volunteers may also support in the education at many monasteries in Nepal.

The tasks that volunteers may do depend on whether they attend a school or a monastery.

At the former, volunteers can expect to do things like teaching math (according to classroom curriculum), teaching English (mainly focusing in tenses, grammar, speech, and pronunciation),  assisting the current English and Math labs, helping children complete their required tasks, help teachers complete the yearly curriculum, helping students solve problems in programmed sessions, bringing personalised support to students with more specific educational difficulties, bringing awareness about issues like smoking, chewing tobacco, intoxication, and the like, bringing support to the school kitchens in preparation and service of food, among other tasks that may arise depending on the specific needs of the school.

At the latter, monasteries, volunteers may do tasks such as teaching English, geography, or arts and crafts, teach students how to use computer tools, support monks in the completion of daily tasks, help organise and develop extracurricular activities and outdoor activities, bring assistance with documentation, and help the staff at the monastery to care the site and program daily activities.

Typical day

Volunteers are expected to work on weekdays (Monday through Friday), while weekends are free for volunteers to discover all the beautiful things Nepal has to offer.
