The wildlife sanctuary was formed as small family run foundation that aims to help
endangered species , wild animals or mistreated animals rehabilitate back into the wild or
into proper care. Most of the animals in the sanctuary have been seized by the
government due to illegal possession or inhumane treatment and require special care to be
rehabilitated. Not all animals are able to be rehabilitated, and some spend their days in the
sanctuary under special care and proper conditions.
Some of the animals in the sanctuary include: condors, various monkey species, bears,
wild felines,parakeets,llamas,and other species.
Volunteers working in the wildlife sanctuary can help in a myriad of tasks according to
availability and skills. Volunteers must be motivated , flexible, and willing to get their
hands dirty and understand that caring for the animals is not playing with the animals
necessarily.
-Feeding the animals
-Cleaning animals enclosures
-Assisting in small medical procedures(if qualified)
-Making toys and implements for the animals.
-Preparing proper food for the animals.
-Assisting visitors.
Work is around 6 hours per day, 5 days per week. Work starts around 8 am.
