    1. Dive masters, Marine Biologists & Conservationists who will train and guide you.
    2. Local Community Members who are passionate about creating a sustainable future.
    3. International Volunteers who are like-minded ocean lovers from all over the world.

What do we expect from you?
Come with an open mind, a sense of adventure, and a willingness to get involved. You don’t need to be a scientist, just enthusiastic, respectful of local culture, and ready for hands-on work in the sun and sea.

    About Us
    The Location
Naifaru is the main island in Lhaviyani Atoll, situated in the northern Maldives, a popular area due to its abundant marine life. It is the fifth most populous Maldivian island with ~6,000 residents, including Maldivians and immigrant workers from Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. During your free time you can relax on beautiful beaches, snorkel the surrounding reefs or immerse yourself in the lively community atmosphere. There are shops selling various general goods from ice-cream and groceries to hardware and tailoring, as well as pharmacies, a hospital, a gym and restaurants serving local and western dishes.

Join our marine conservationists in their efforts to rebuild coral populations at a local house reef, as well as enjoying spending time in one of the most idyllic places in the world. As part of a local NGO, you will be assisting us in our ultimate goal of restoring our house reef. This program is perfect for budding conservationists who want to gain practical skills and field experience, or for volunteers who simply love coral reefs and want to interact with them sustainably.

Transfert de l'aéroport Male International Airport

We recommend booking morning arrival flights before 11 am and night departure flights after 7:00 pm. We will organize your domestic flight from Male to our Island, Naifaru. All domestic flights leave from Male airport (the international airport) you will land at.

Volunteers will get directions from the Volunteer Coordinator on how to navigate the airport and get to their plane transfer. We will pick you up when you land.

    Logement

We provide safe, comfortable housing for our volunteers in our well-equipped volunteer house - Aqua Inn. The house can accommodate a maximum of 11 volunteers at a time.

In the house you will find:

    • Communal kitchen (no cooking appliances) with fridge/freezer
    • En-suite bathrooms
    • Air conditioning in rooms
    • Free Wifi

The house is equipped with modern amenities and air conditioning in each of the rooms. The house provides a common area for our volunteers to socialise and relax after work. The rooms at the volunteer house are same sex shared rooms with en-suite bathrooms, and will be shared with 2-3 volunteers. The kitchen and living room are free for all to use.

    Aliments & Boissons

We currently have all our meals served buffet style where volunteers can pick between the option of chicken, fish or vegetarian. Whilst our chef tries her best to create substantial and tasty meals, you should be understanding of the fact that we are on a remote island where food is not always readily available. Therefore, volunteers should approach the menu with an open mind and not expect luxury. Those with dietary requirements are advised to bring vitamins/protein powder to subsidize their diet. Whilst we make every effort to keep the spiciness of our food to a level that suits all palates, please be reminded that you are visiting the Maldives and Maldivian culture should be expected and embraced.
