    Our Community Outreach & Women’s Empowerment Initiative in Arusha, Tanzania is a powerful program designed to support women, children, and vulnerable families living in underserved communities.

    We work with groups facing social and economic challenges such as single mothers, widows, schoolgirls, and rural families who have limited access to education, health information, counseling, and skills development opportunities.
    The program brings together local experts, educators, and international volunteers to create meaningful change through education, empowerment, and hands-on community engagement. Our focus is not only to support, but to build confidence, independence, and long-term opportunities for the people we work with.
    All activities are guided by a professional local team in collaboration with experienced coordinators and community leaders.

    Program Schedule
    Community outreach activities take place 2 days per week (Thursday and Friday).
    _Volunteers can participate as:
    _Part-time support alongside another project
    _Full-time outreach volunteers with preparation and fieldwork

    Spontaneous participation is also possible for volunteers already on site.

    4:00 – 5:00 pm: Return to the volunteer house and relaxation  

    5:00 pm onwards: Free time for socializing with other volunteers, cultural exchange, exploring the local area, or optional activities such as games, cooking, and preparing for the next day  

    Each day is meaningful, interactive, and deeply rooted in cultural exchange and community impact.

    During your free time in Arusha, you’ll have the opportunity to relax, explore, and enjoy the beauty of Tanzania while connecting with other volunteers and the local community.

    You can visit local markets, cafés, and cultural spots in Arusha city to experience everyday Tanzanian life. For those who love nature, you may take weekend trips to iconic destinations such as Arusha National Park or enjoy views of nearby landmarks like Mount Kilimanjaro.
    Many volunteers also choose to join safari adventures to world-famous parks such as Serengeti National Park or explore the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater.
    In the evenings, volunteers often spend time together at the volunteer house sharing meals, playing games, watching movies, or simply relaxing after a meaningful day of work.
    You may also take part in cultural experiences such as Swahili lessons, cooking local food, or visiting nearby villages to learn more about Tanzanian traditions.
    Your free time is a perfect balance of rest, adventure, and cultural immersion.

    Transfert de l'aéroport Kilimanjaro International Airport

    We provide a safe and reliable airport pickup service for all volunteers arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).

    Upon your arrival, a member of our team will be waiting for you at the airport holding a sign with your name or our organization’s name. You will then be warmly welcomed and safely transferred to our volunteer house in Arusha.
    The journey from the airport to Arusha takes approximately 45–60 minutes, depending on traffic. During the drive, you will get your first view of Tanzania’s beautiful landscapes and receive basic information about your stay.
    Airport pickup is included in your program fee, so there is no need to worry about arranging transportation on your own.
    If your arrival time changes or your flight is delayed, simply inform us in advance so we can adjust your pickup accordingly and ensure a smooth arrival experience.

    Logement

    During your stay in Arusha, you will live in our comfortable volunteer house, designed to create a friendly and welcoming environment for international volunteers.

    The house is located within a safe and accessible area close to our project sites, making daily travel easy and convenient. You will share rooms with other volunteers, giving you a great opportunity to meet people from different countries, exchange experiences, and build lasting friendships.
    Basic facilities are provided, including clean bedrooms, shared bathrooms, and common spaces where volunteers can relax, eat, and socialize. The atmosphere is simple, clean, and community-oriented.
    Meals are provided daily at the volunteer house, and our local team ensures you enjoy freshly prepared food while experiencing local Tanzanian cuisine.
    Wi-Fi is available in common areas, allowing you to stay connected with family and friends during your stay.
    Our accommodation is not luxurious, but it is comfortable, safe, and perfectly suited for a meaningful volunteer experience in Tanzania.

    Aliments & Boissons

    During your stay in Arusha, you will be provided with three freshly prepared meals per day at the volunteer house.

    Meals are a mix of local Tanzanian dishes and familiar international options to ensure variety and comfort for all volunteers. You can expect foods such as rice, beans, vegetables, fresh fruits, chapati, pasta, and occasionally chicken or fish depending on availability.
    Breakfast is usually light and includes items like tea/coffee, bread, eggs, fruit, and porridge. Lunch and dinner are more filling and typically include a combination of carbohydrates, vegetables, and protein.
    We are able to cater for most dietary needs such as vegetarian options. Please inform us in advance about any specific dietary requirements or allergies so we can make appropriate arrangements.
    Drinking water is provided, and we ensure that all meals are prepared in a clean and hygienic environment.
    Meals are also a great time for volunteers to gather, share experiences, and enjoy the community atmosphere at the house.

    Start Dates:

    The program is flexible and can be joined throughout the year. Volunteers can start every Monday. We recommend arriving at least one day before your start date to settle in and prepare for orientation.

    Arrival Airport:
    Volunteers should arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), the closest and most convenient airport to Arusha.

    Airport Pickup:
    Airport pickup is included. Upon arrival, a member of our team will meet you at the airport holding a sign with your name or our organization’s name and transfer you safely to the volunteer house in Arusha.

    Transfer to Arusha:
    The journey from the airport to Arusha takes approximately 45–60 minutes, depending on traffic and road conditions.
