During the summer, the visitor center becomes a community center, bringing together many artists and professionals from the city of Rio Grande, known as the "city of musicians". Several workshops are offered daily, always taking advantage of the skills of the team members, with the workshops of costumes in the form of marine animals the highlight of the season. Always ending with musical performances, shared with children, youth and adults who play their instruments produced by discarded materials, formerly called garbage.
In addition to contact with people, contact with animals and plants are remarkable in our Environmental Education Program. Sea Turtles monitored by the In Water Program integrate education activities, sharing their return to the sea with our volunteers and hundreds of locals and tourists, thrilling everyone. Our community garden, with organic vegetables available to residents who support their maintenance, green our surroundings and provide quality food daily. But of course, we need to support the maintenance of the garden in order to harvest every day.
