WHO WE ARE
Vicky’s Keys (VK) is a heritage-rooted sustainability initiative in Sint Maarten and a subsidiary of Stichting Marlin Yard (SMY) Foundation. Founded and led by Cee Marlin, VK is evolving into Sint Maarten’s first Heritage Agrarian Campus—a living learning site focused on regenerative agriculture, climate resilience, and community empowerment.
We’re a small, hands-on team working at the intersection of land stewardship, cultural heritage, and practical sustainability.
IMPORTANT 2026 UPDATE (PLEASE READ)
VK is in a transition season.
- We are welcoming volunteers until 20 June 2026.
- After 20 June 2026, our volunteer program will be paused while we prepare the next phase of VK.
- From November 2026 onward, VK will focus primarily on structured, paid residency pathways
(minimum 4 weeks) designed for deeper learning-by-doing, clear
expectations, and stronger outcomes for participants and the campus.
If you’re looking for a meaningful volunteer experience this season, you’re in the right place.
WHAT WE DO
Our work supports Caribbean food security and community resilience through practical, land-based projects and local engagement. Depending on the season and current priorities, this includes:
- regenerative growing and food farm support
- community garden preparation and maintenance
- composting, mulching, planting, and harvesting
- site care and restoration support
- simple documentation and record-keeping (for those with interest/skills)
WHERE WE WORK
VK is located in The Keys, Sint Maarten, in a safe suburban area near Philipsburg. Sint Maarten is a well-connected island with regular international flights and modern amenities.
As with anywhere in the Caribbean, volunteers should be comfortable with sun, heat, and outdoor work—hydration, sun protection, and steady pacing are essential.
