Project Details

Created by survivors of child trafficking, GLOWA is empowering potential victims with tools to recognize and manage trafficking recruitment scams.

GLOWA is a not-for-profit organization in special consultative status with the UN ECOSOC that combats human trafficking in Cameroon. Created by informed survivors of child trafficking, GLOWA want to meet the needs of children with limited parental care as a way of reducing their vulnerability to trafficking. GLOWA aims to systematically transform communities and nurture a culture of respect for human rights, particularly those of children and women while fighting against the systematic abuses faced by the most vulnerable. GLOWA aspire to build child-friendly and abuse-sensitive communities.
Vision:
We aspire to build child-friendly and abuse-sensitive communities where children are empowered as claim holders and promoters of their basic human rights. We are committed to upholding these rights as a way of preparing future Cameroonians to become productive citizens.
Mission
By combating child trafficking in the Cameroon we work to nurture and sustain a culture of respect for human rights, particularly those of children and women, and fight against the systematic abuses faced by the most vulnerable.

Social Impact

We are breaking the cycle of child abuse and ensuring a livelihood for survivors.
When survivors grow older or becore aware through NGO actions, they oppose exploitation abd break up with slavers. Due to the abusnce of marketable skills many embrase survival sex work. We are breaking this cycle of survival prostitution and empowering survivors as campaigners
