Manna Project International (MPI) is a non-profit organization committed to improving the lives of underserved communities, primarily in the Amazon region of Ecuador. For over two decades, MPI has worked alongside local communities to create sustainable and impactful development initiatives focused on health, education, and economic empowerment.
At the core of MPI’s mission is the belief that long-term, community-driven change is possible when communities have the resources and support to build their own futures. MPI’s programs work with local partners to improve health outcomes, enhance educational opportunities, and provide tools for economic growth that can support entire communities.
One of MPI’s key approaches is to engage with local leaders, community members, and volunteers to create lasting partnerships. By doing so, MPI ensures that all initiatives are culturally relevant, responsive to community needs, and sustainable in the long run.
Some of MPI's most impactful programs have included creating a public health clinic in Nicaragua, a jewelry cooperative for women to create and sell their work, a beekeeping initiative, a 1000 Days program to ensure proper health and nutrition in the first 1000 days of life, micro-loan programs for small business, public health workshops, after-school programs for local youth, and sustainable agriculture initiatives. Through its work, MPI helps develop local capacity, empower young leaders, and promote economic independence in a region that has long faced systemic barriers to growth and opportunity.
MPI's volunteer programs allow individuals from all over the world to gain meaningful experience in international development while making a direct impact on the communities they serve. Volunteers have the opportunity to contribute to various sectors, such as education, healthcare, environmental sustainability, and community development, all while learning from local experts and becoming part of a community that values collaboration, respect, and cultural exchange.
Whether it's through health fairs, English classes, or eco-tourism initiatives, Manna Project International continues to foster long-term, sustainable change that positively impacts the lives of community members and volunteers alike. Through these efforts, MPI is creating a network of changemakers dedicated to improving lives and fostering global solidarity.
With a deep commitment to fostering global connections and empowering individuals, MPI is proud to continue building bridges between diverse cultures and communities, working together toward a better, more sustainable future for all.
