Our accommodations for participants are located in the far northern region of the reserve, featuring ten twin rooms scheduled on a same-sex shared basis, unless special arrangements are made for couples. Each en-suite room is equipped with a shower, toilet, and basin. Lodge facilities include a communal lounge, dining area, swimming pool, and an outdoor boma for enjoying evenings around the fire under the stars.
Laundry services are provided weekly, with laundry bags supplied upon arrival. Please avoid bringing delicate or high-value clothing, as we cannot be held responsible for any damages caused by hard water, color runs, shrinkage, or chemical cleaners. Personal laundry facilities are not available, so please pack accordingly.
We provide three meals daily, either served at the lodge or as pre-packed servings, depending on scheduled activities. We accommodate vegetarians and other dietary requirements with prior notice. Cooked breakfasts are typically served once a week, usually on Fridays, subject to program changes. While we do not have facilities for Kosher or Halaal meal preparation, we can arrange for these meals upon request and availability. Meals are generally self-service and designed to introduce participants to a variety of local dishes, accompanied by juice, tea, or coffee. Bottled water, soft drinks, and a wider selection of beverages are available on site and at local stores.
Situated in a malaria-free district, our operations are based within our expansive 18,000-hectare game reserve, encompassing five of the seven biomes. We are conveniently located just a one and a half hour drive from Port Elizabeth Airport, with numerous adventure and leisure activities available nearby along the stunning Garden Route coastline. These activities include surfing, canoeing, horse riding, and bungee jumping, among others.
During your stay, you will be guided by our wildlife coordinators, all of whom are highly qualified and experienced in various conservation-related fields, ensuring that your experience is maximized. Our program offers a diverse and immersive experience, exposing participants to real and often challenging conservation issues and tasks. This presents an opportunity for participants to actively contribute to sustainable solutions and make a meaningful difference through their participation.
