This program is perfect for the participants who are looking for meaningful travel and volunteering experience for a short duration of 4 weeks + Travelling. It gives you opportunity to Work with Children Program & Golden Triangle Tour which includes sites like Jaipur, Taj Mahal Agra, Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri, Abhaneri, Sikandra & Delhi, India.
About our Children Program:-
In our Children program we have orphan, street and children which are kidnapped by the criminal gangs in India; these children involved in child labor by the criminal gangs. Many of them are left by their parents on railway station, bus stands, and next to traffic signals to do activites like begging, vending, selling cigarettes and tobacco, pedding lottery tickets etc. We have rescued all these children and bring them in our childcare center. To provide them accomodation, food, education and with all the necessary things which a child needs for his growth. Since 2008 we have repatriate around 2500 children.
You as a volunteer will be involved in activities such as teaching them basic English and mathematics, personality development classes. Personality development includes talking about having a positive attitude towards life, self-esteem, manners, speaking and behaving in public etc. In addition you can teach them Alphabets, Counting, Days of weeks, Months of year, manners, writing practice etc. You will also be involved in activities related to art & craft work, such as drawing and henna painting. Health education programs such as the AIDS-awareness program make them be aware of health & hygiene tips and nutrition. Sports and games have also been organized by volunteers in order to develop their physical stamina; all these are very helpful in making their life better and in rehabilitating them.
Golden Triangle Tour India:-
We arrange 3 nights/4 days trip for the India's famous Golden Triangle Tour to discover and explore the alluring charm of Jaipur, Agra & Delhi in the most fascinating ways! The journey covers the most popular tourist destinations of Jaipur ( Rajasthan ), Taj Mahal Agra, Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri, Abhaneri, Sikandra, 4 famous places in Delhi, India.
Tagesablauf
Volunteers are expected to work for five days a week ( Monday to Friday ) for everyday around 5 hours. During volunteer work you will be involved in the activities such as :-
- Teaching basic skills in English and Math in our childcare and women program
- Supporting the children & women in self-development.
- Supporting in Art & Craft Work.
- Helping them to develop health awareness.
- Skill development & training program in stitching work, beautician course & Mehandi/drawing.
- Personality development Classes.
- Group & 1 to 1 counselling sessions.
- Feeding the Elephants in the Village.
Volunteer Week Detail
Day 1: Today you will arrive in Jaipur. A VWI staff member will pick you up from your arrival destination and welcome you. After picking you up, we will transfer you to the host family accommodation. We will introduce you to the host family members and guide you through the accommodation facilities and your local surroundings. You will be given a run down about the project, your daily working schedule, rules and regulation of volunteering, what the dos and donts are of travelling in India are and advise you about facilities any traveller might need in a new place.
Day 2 to Day 28 : You will be transferred to your project site. Your first day will be a learning experience, meeting new faces and seeing what your role will be. Days at the project site will include taking part in many of the activities you have read above. And maybe even a few spontaneous Bollywood dance-offs.
Working days will be five days a week, Monday to Friday.
Weekends: The weekends are free for you to relax and enjoy the Pink City of Jaipur. Every weekend we arrange sightseeing tour of Jaipur beautiful historical places, cultural places and programs with our VWI staff team. Volunteers have opportunity to meet with other volunteers also from other projects sites as everybody gets together on these days. There are several other side trips that you can join which will greatly enhance your experience of Rajasthan, India.
Tour Program Itinerary
Day 29 :-Start from Jaipur in Morning proceed to visit Agra. We will pick you from your Hotel/Guest house in Jaipur through an air-conditioned Toyota Etios or one of the similar standards Car with well experienced English-speaking Driver. One the way visit Abhaneri and Fatehpur Sikri. You will reach Agra in evening. Check in to Hotel and Relax. Overnight stay at Hotel in Agra.
Day 30 :- Early morning after Breakfast Proceed to Agra, on the way visit Bird Sanctuary at Keoladeo Ghana National Park in Bharatpur and Fatehpur Sikri. Check in to Hotel in Agra in evening.
Day 31 :- Early morning visit the world-famous Taj Mahal built by the
Moghul Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her
mortal remains. Back to hotel for breakfast, after breakfast we will bring you
to Visit Agra fort and city tour. OveryNight at Agra Hotel.
Day 32 :- Early Morning after Breakfast proceed to Delhi which is 230
km's. On the way to Delhi Visit Sikandra. Sikandra is the mausoleum of Emperor
Akbar. It represents his philosophy and secular outlook, combining the best of
Hindu and Muslim architecture in a superlative fusion. Completed in 1613 A.D.,
it is one of the well-preserved monuments in the area. Reach New Delhi later in
afternoon Visit India Gate and Buddhist Temple. After visit we will drop you to
airport or your desired location in Delhi. Tour finishes in sweet memories with
you.

The weekends are free for you to relax and enjoy the Pink City of Jaipur. Every Weekend we arrange sightseeing tours for volunteers to visit famous tourist destinations in Jaipur. Also in a day during free time you can visit the famous temples in Jaipur, go for cycle rickshaw ride, visit the local bazaars (market), buy some souvenirs, go to shopping malls and do many more activities.

There are no specific skills required to join the program. But volunteers need to be loving and passionate about helping those who are in need, and also they have interest to learn about the Culture/Life of the people in India.

Leistungen
One of our Team member will come to pick you at the Jaipur, Airport. We will be there with the pla card mentioning your name. Our team is happy to pick you anytime your flight lands in Jaipur. Sometimes the flights to Jaipur can be expensive if that happens also when you are checking you may also arrive to Delhi Airport. One of our representative will pick you from Delhi and transfer you to by car or Bus which cost additional.
VWI will make arrangements for room, food and transportation for the volunteers, from the first day of the volunteer’s arrival in Jaipur, India. Volunteers will be living with an Indian host family. You will have your own room, that you may or may not share with another volunteer of the same sex. Our host families are carefully screened and selected based on VWI requirements. Host families are experienced in the realm of hosting international travellers for at least 10 years.
The accommodation and meals provided at the host family will be basic. Staying with a host family is a great way to learn about a host country’s culture and customs. Every host family will have internet facilities so you can stay in contact with your own family.
You will be having 3 Meals per day i;e Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
All meals are vegetarian.

Der nächstgelegene Flughafen ist Jaipur Airport (JAI) in Jaipur. Wir helfen dir günstige Flüge nach Indien zu finden.
Ins Ausland zu gehen ist ein Abenteuer, auf das man sich stets gut vorbereiten sollte. Plötzliche Krankheit oder Verletzung, Stornierung oder Diebstahl - eine Reiseversicherung für Indien bietet die nötige Sicherheit.
Bevor du deine Freiwilligenarbeit in Indien antrittst, solltest du dich noch einmal von deinem Arzt beraten lassen und deine erforderlichen Impfungen für Indien überprüfen.
