    We bought a new piece of land. Our dream has always been to own a sustainable eco friendly space for our long term plan and to stop paying high rent each year. The beginning has been made, we have land and 2 years ago we have been building. We have managed to build our classroom and sleeping space for now. Since its a new space we are going to build another floor and complete the actual plan of the building so we can have roof on top. It will be a safe haven where children can develop themselves, can dream and always experience the feeling of a home.Also it will serve as home to all our volunteers where they can freely live among us as brothers and sisters, one big family. You can help us with that!

    To achieve social impact, we believe we should use the services of the community as much as possible. They know which materials and which techniques are the most effective and sustainable. In addition, as an NGO we want to create employment for the community. Of course we can use volunteers; learning and teaching new techniques, carrying out construction work, painting, working the land, thinking in terms of possibilities and enriching our project in this way.

    You sleep at our current and famous 'Green Building at the Beach'. You wake up (8:00-9:00 am) by hearing the waves of the ocean and our team will prepair you a local breakfast(9.15 am). You discuss (9.30 a.m.)with the on-site director what the plans are today. You will head toward the new land ...

    You sleep at our current and famous 'Green Building at the Beach'. You wake up (8:00-9:00 am) by hearing the waves of the ocean and our team will prepair you a local breakfast(9.15 am). You discuss (9.30 a.m.)with the on-site director what the plans are today. You will head toward the new land (10.00), and work with the local workers on what has to be done. The working day will be from 10.00 a.m. to 17.00 p.m. Of course we make sure you get enouh water and a proper meal  during and after all the hard work. Dinner will be serverd after you took shower and are relaxing on our balcony/ at the beach / in our livingroom. This will be around 18.00 p.m. 

    In the evening you are free to do whatever you would like to do. You can party or bonfire at the beach, but of course we would also love to welcome you joining our News Hour program. Other volunteers are teaching te children, and you can relax and watch the world news with the kids. 

    Fritidsaktiviteter

    At the community of Busua there are many bonfires in the evening, fun game activities, music and karoake is played and people come together to enjoy the sky full of stars. 
    Moreover Busua is the perfect Surf place! If you would like to hike to historic places like Fort Metal Cross (30 minutes walk) ...

    Moreover Busua is the perfect Surf place! If you would like to hike to historic places like Fort Metal Cross (30 minutes walk) our team can always come with you and make sure you get a nice tour.

    All inclusive includes:

    • Two meals a day from Monday-Friday (Local food Some options: Pancakes, egg sandwich, milo, fresh seasonable fruit, red red with plantain, rice with stew, jollof rice, fried rice, banku, fufu, indomie, spaghetti.)

    • Accommodation (a room at the Teach on the beach building, including running water, electricity &DSTV)

    • On-site experienced Director

    • Limited internet access: means, we do have internet possibilities but no WiFi. In Ghana it is

    possible to buy credit to use internet and bundle it. This is on your own cost, but works super well most of the time.

    Pick up / drop of

    - Kotoka International Airport Accra –

    (including food and drinks & staff member guidance):

    Volunteers under the age of 18 years it is mandatory to use the pick up and drop of.

    For volunteers 18 years and older, it is optional but recommended.

    €100,- (each way)

    It is a 6 hr drive from Kotoka International Airport. 

    When you arrive in the night, we prefer you to stay in a hotel the first night, the cost of the hotel would be your own cost. 

    When you take the inland flight to takoradi we pick up for €30 and the pick up+ drop of is €55 

    Indkvartering

    We have enough  bedrooms at our current facility. It could be possible you share the room with other volunteers if there are more volunteers around ( male/female separate) 

    The rooms are self contain with their own shower and toilet.

    We are in the stage four of the construction phase for this year. You will participate in every process of the construction in the areas of logistic supply,  painting, carpentry, manual hand work (concrete mixing) and more.
