At Peru Volunteer and Travel we really want to make a change. That is why we have created the most affordable, fun and life-changing volunteer programs.
Wawawasi (House of Children in Quechua Language) is an amazing center for poor children full of energy and great hopes, The programs has meanly created to give children the opportunity to grow in a safe, clean and proper environment together with volunteers, teachers, parents, eager to make a change of these children's life, and give them a happy and well educated childhood.
Our Program focused on three main pillars; Education, respect and hope in order to help children with their growth and at the same time to provide volunteers with an amazing life changing experience.
Volunteers don't need special skills for this program, however; full energy and some patience are required. Volunteers will teach, feed, cloth, play and cook (sometimes) at the program.
Volunteer can organize extra activities like:
- Recreational activities (yoga, sports, arts,
crafts)
- Helping
children with homework
- Playing, dancing, painting, and singing with the
children
- Helping with day-to-day tasks at an institution
- Building up the self-esteem and confidence of the
children
Children from 1 to 5 years old attend our program, where the mean goal is
to teach children basic knowledge of colors, language, music, numbers and to
grow in a safe, clean, proper environment feeling loving, caring and strong.
