- Detailed Volunteer Program Description: 

This program is designed to provide happiness to the dogs we rescue, as they come from unfavorable environments and our goal is make their life a happy one, full of love, good nutrition, good health, recreation time, protection, safe environment and everything that implies improving their quality of life. 

Puerto Escondido is one of the most beautiful places in the pacific Mexico. Unfortunately, the stray dogs problematic is getting bigger and bigger. 
The good news is that citizens are working hard to attend the problem and we are organized to stop the cicle. 
WORLD CHANGERS is one organization in charge of dog rescuing, providing home, medical treatment, neutering surgery and finding a secure and responsible adoptant in Mexico and other countries. 
 Our focus in the program is to rescue stray dogs living in dangerous conditions, abusing or sickness. 

We normally have about 50 dogs, and we work hard to find them a loving home, especially for the puppies, so we don´t have a specific number, sometimes we have more dogs and sometimes we have less. 

The Dog Shelter is located in Zicatela area, one of the most popular places from Puerto Escondido with the beach where sunsets have the best view. 

Volunteers will work with the founders Miriam and Alejandra and they will also train you. 

Dog Rescue and Care is a beautiful and challenging program, since it motivates you to bring out the leader in you and use your skills and talents to lead the behavior of the dogs.

This program will also make you recognize the value of your effort by coming here to be part of the wellness of our dogs.

Everything you do for them will make them very happy and you will be part of their happiness.

What we expect from the volunteers is to do their best to give the dogs the best quality life. We want you to help us to make the dogs happy, and that means to keep a nice place for them to live, to feed them on time, to play with them, pet them and walk (even run) on the beach. 

Volunteers can expect from us all the support to make their volunteering a succesful program, all the training,  advices and everything they need to know about the program and Puerto Escondido.
