    Help protect the nature and raise awareness of sustainability among the locals and visitors in beautiful Iceland. Together with other international volunteers!

    Located near the crossroads to the West, South and North of Iceland, the project offers an opportunity for you to share your knowledge with other volunteers while exploring creativity, environmental issues and intercultural learning.     Located near the crossroads to the West, South and North of Iceland, the project offers an opportunity for you to share your knowledge with other volunteers while exploring creativity, environmental issues and intercultural learning. The main goal of the project is to improve education and raise awareness about environment problems. You will be involved in various activities and tasks which includes beach cleanup, planting trees, workshops on climate change, research, renovation and lots more. 

    There are also opportunities to go on excursions to visit the popular areas and natural wonders that Iceland has.

    For a minimum of four weeks between February and November, you are sure to have a great time whether you are planting trees, cleaning the beach or even doing artwork. The memories you will create while working towards a great cause will surely be worth it. Be the change you wish to see!

    Typisk dag

    Volunteers play a vital role in achieving the project’s goal. As a volunteer you will be required to work a 5-6 hour shift with the possibility of your hours being extended depending on the duties/tasks that need to be done that day.

    Airport Pickup

    • You will fly to Keflavik International Airport. You will be picked up by someone from the project.

    Accommodation

    • Shared sustainable house with shared washroom facilities. It has double rooms, triple rooms, and quadruple rooms, two kitchens, several bathrooms, and common areas, rooms for workshops, and galleries.

    Excursions

    • Included excursion to the south side of Iceland

    Meals

    • Included. However, you are encouraged to help clean and cook.

    • You can use FRONTEERINGS office as a reliable address to have your mail delivered

    Ongoing service

    • If there are any problems with your volunteer project we are always there to help you and mediate between yourself and the organization.

    • Through FRONTEERING you have the possibility to book tours in Iceland after you have finished your volunteer project.

    You will fly to Keflavik International Airport. You will be picked up by someone from the project. 

    Indkvartering

    Shared sustainable house with facilities. It has double rooms, triple rooms, and quadruple rooms, two kitchens, several bathrooms, and common areas, rooms for workshops, and galleries. You will need to bring your own sleeping bag and towel, but beds and bed sheets will be provided. Be prepared to help with the daily chores: laundry, cleaning rooms, cooking and doing dishes, taking the trash out.

    Meals are included. However, everyone is expected to do their fair share of the cooking and cleaning. You can also bring along your favorite recipes and ingredients from home. The project can also accommodate different diets like vegetarians, vegans and gluten-free
