    This program will enhance and develop the skills of any student with enough motivation and good background in some of the areas mentioned, while also providing a wonderful cultural opportunity for an intrepid traveler. 
    This is a true volunteer program, where volunteers get stuck in and truly contribute to Schools' work. Volunteers will write original articles, edit work, develop strategies on social media and digital trends, update social media and be a true member of the news team as they report on news around the region. Volunteers will find this to be a hugely rewarding program, gaining real life experience in Spain, networking with colleagues and building a resume of work.

    Volunteers will contribute in a number of ways and can expect to undertake some of the following tasks:
    • Writing articles in English or any other language where they are fluent 
    • Assist with social media pages and groups on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram
    • Use Multimedia content to connect people emotionally to pressing social, gender and environmental causes
    • Developing and maintaining a social media strategy that can help the School secure its leadership in Spain and enhance its visibility

    • Take photographs and/or video documentation and report, interview, write and edit content related to our program

    There are 2 different shifts to choose from: 9:30am to 1:30 pm or from 4:00pm to 7pm.

    Volunteers in this program can expect to work for around 3 - 4 hours per day, 4 or 5 days a week, typically Monday through Friday. There is always a specific mentor or coordinator in the program to guide the ...

    Volunteers in this program can expect to work for around 3 - 4 hours per day, 4 or 5 days a week, typically Monday through Friday. There is always a specific mentor or coordinator in the program to guide the volunteers. When not volunteering participants are free to enjoy this incredible city! 
    Volunteer schedules depend on the needs at the time of placement but a typical day is likely to look something like this:
    • 4.00 pm: Meeting with the program coordinator.
    • 4:15 pm: Volunteering duties start. Placements will be tailored both to the volunteer's preferences, skills set and the needs of the community.
    • 6:45 pm: Volunteering duties end. Exact finishing times will depend on the specific project.
    • 6:55 pm: De-brief with the project coordinator.
    Evenings, nights and weekends are free time to enjoy the sights, beaches sounds, vibes, cuisine and entertainment on offer in Bilbao.

    During weekdays we organize free leisure and cultural activities such as salsa lessons, wine tasting, excursions, tapas tours or visits to museums. All of them are free of charge for our volunteers.

    During weekdays we organize free leisure and cultural activities such as salsa lessons, wine tasting, excursions, tapas tours or visits to museums. All of them are free of charge for our volunteers. 

    At weekends students can also enjoy their passions such as hiking, surfing or going to a winery. The area is full of potential activities to enjoy beaches and mountains.  You can also enjoy the astonishing areas where some of the chapters of game of thrones was played. Be sure that Saint James walk is also going through Bilbao. To sum up, a place where you can not get bored.

    • Spanish course 20 hours per week during first 2 weeks

    • Certificate of volunteering at the end as well as the Spanish course with the level achieved

    Indkvartering

    We provide dorm rooms in shared apartment with all facilities. Wifi, cleaner once per week, kitchen, bathrooms etc are included. The apartment is in walking distance to our school. In case you want single room or a private apartment ask for a price difference.
