    Om programmet

Many residents in the rural areas of Aborlan live below the subsistence level and have limited access to major hospitals. As a result, they rely on free services provided by the Rural Health Unit/Clinic.

This program aims to enhance healthcare in these communities by focusing on those most in need and promoting preventive health measures. The initiative requires both medical professionals and non-medical participants to help educate locals on basic first aid and hygiene practices such as handwashing, toothbrushing, and personal cleanliness. Medical professionals will also conduct health camps and provide essential medical care.

We offer two program schedules: one tailored for participants with medical backgrounds and another for those without. Both provide meaningful engagement in community healthcare, offering hands-on experience and cultural immersion. Medical professionals deliver specialised care, while non-medical participants assist with health education and operational support.

Due to space limitations at the Rural Health Unit/Clinic, participation is restricted to 4-5 individuals at a time, ensuring effective work and a comfortable experience for all.

    Program Highlights:
    • Support healthcare initiatives in rural Aborlan, Palawan.
    • Provide essential medical services and hygiene education.
    • Engage with local communities to promote better health practices, including handwashing and dental care.
    • Assist in health camps, dental checkups, and first aid training.
    • Gain practical experience in community healthcare while immersing in local culture.

    Medical Professionals:

    • Provide healthcare services, including dental checkups and health camps.
    • Assist local healthcare staff in delivering medical care.

    Non-Medical Participants:

    • Educate the community on hygiene practices such as handwashing and toothbrushing.
    • Help organize and support healthcare activities.
    • Participate in community outreach programs to prevent common health issues.

Join us in making a meaningful impact on community health while gaining invaluable experience in rural healthcare!
