Volunteer In Colombia social projects have been created to support the communities to stay together, to empower them, to keep their youngster into the villages and families and to keep alive the production of sugar cane and coffee beans, and to protect the environment through increasing the beehives . Our commitment is to help and support the community with their own social projects, to achieve their goals in order to improve their financial and socio-economic situation, their quality of life and their main income support, as well as to protect the bees and the environment.
There is a big shortage of staff and qualified workers to carry on maintaining small communities. Big families have found themselves behind technology losing the aim for farming, looking after the elderly or educating children. Now day’s the youth are attracted to live and work in a big city where they feel they can become more successful, leaving behind their parents, small children and farms, but most of them cannot achieve it for the lack of education putting themselves into gangs, drug addiction, prostitution, and child trafficking among other social problems.
Volunteers will be able to choose the project that want to support like to help the youth at the youth center to broaden their views, by teaching them new ways of living in their own community, new skills to carry on farming, English language skills and tourism as well as support the learning disabilities, the elderly day centers, school, farmers and bees. Social Impact
The aim of the Volunteer In Colombia is to help communities with the support of international volunteers. Children specially are the most vulnerable inhabitants, so helping them at the school and the youth center will broad their views and chances in life, by supporting teachers with their education teaching new languages, sports, maths, IT, signing, dance, after school recreational and ludic activities,among other activities we can make a difference to them. By helping them to understand why it is so important to stay in the country side and support their community to move on.
By helping to look after and entertain the elderly and or disable children we can make their day a more sympathetic and happy day, some times they only need somebody to talk to or play with, teaching them to be more independent will make their life easier.
By helping farmers with their daily activities we can make sure they do not lost their crops and we can help them to increase their production and therefore their income, also they can keep farming alive and will not be push to abandon their lands.
And one of the main social impact is by looking after and increasing of the bee colonies, with this project we aim to help not only the environment but to better the quality of their crops therefore their income and #socio-economics condition.
Volunteers will play a big role into providing human resources to achieve their goals, create more jobs and keep small villages together.

You can enjoy the natural environment, ecological walks into the mountains and by the river, wake up with the signing of the birds, bird watch, eating fresh fruit from the trees, and a real experience within a family environment in the countryside of Colombia.
