5 Project reviews of Volunteer Vietnam

Project Details

We are an NGO based in Vietnam. We provide supports to social support centers, children homes and schools. Our focuses are healthcare, education and social welfare.

Volunteer Vietnam was founded in 2004 by Viet Dang. Viet firstly volunteered as an English teacher. He then met worked with many international volunteers who came and support Vietnam. He was extremely impressed by what they could contribute to his country. In 2004, Viet decided to set up Volunteer Vietnam with the hope that he could get more international support to Vietnam. Since then, we have been placing around 2,000 international volunteers in Vietnam.

It is our goal is to run an ethical volunteer program through out Vietnam which give daily aids to around 1,000 disadvantaged children, women and homeless people in Central Vietnam and Mekong Delta, Vietnam.

We focus on healthcare, education and social welfare for the children, women and homeless people. Volunteers will have a broader volunteer experience while participating to different activities in a day meanwhile they still learn some work for their carer and profession.

Our volunteer placements are safe and friendly. We provide most of daily needs to volunteers when they are on the programs. This includes safe volunteer houses, meals, support staff and transport to work. Our staff team are professional in taking care of volunteers and organizing things for their stay. We pick up volunteers on their arrival and give them a 02 day orientation and training program which helps them enter into the program smoothly. Our staff will accompany with the volunteers to work during their placements. Volunteers will have some free times to explore the country attractions such as: beautiful beaches, Hoi An Ancient Town,  Hue Imperial City in Da Nang and beautiful lakes, rivers, channels and gardens in Mekong Delta. Volunteers will live locally with Vietnamese people so they will have many chance to learn about the Vietnamese language and culture.

  • Sponsorship for extra care-givers and teachers
  • Monthly out door activities for the people
  • Need equipment and materials for physiotherapy treatment
  • School supplies for children
