The idea is to bring love, care and help to the centre where children and young people at risk of social exclusion have access to food, education and learning.
This volunteer program is especially suitable for:
One of the objectives is to help and work with the aim of giving more personalised attention to the young people and children of the community so that they can broaden their knowledge and develop their skills.
Volunteers support the following activities with the children and young people who come to the centre. Some of these are:
- Food support
- Workshops on values
- Basic education
- Educational games
- Help and care
Every volunteer must have the ability to empathize, as they work and live with children living in difficult situations or poverty.
You can also teach English:
- Teach English classes, where you will have to create dynamic and educational activities, which facilitate the learning of children and young people.
- Assist the English teacher in classes.
- Lead conversation groups or groups of local people who want to improve their English fluency.
- Organise English classes. (in this activity you will be supported by the local coordinator).
- Basic teaching of any subject, talks and initiatives.
The volunteer is not required to be an expert or have a specialism in the field of education or childcare, just a desire to help is more than welcome.
In the morning we have breakfast at the volunteer's house, we share the same house of those who go to the animal project.
Then with the companions we will go to the centre for disadvantaged children where we will carry out the activities.
Once finished we will have lunch at the centre, we will have some time to rest, take a nap or go to the swimming pool of the volunteer's house. Then you can be with animals and companions or decide to go shopping.
Volunteers usually start their support at 9:00 in the morning and finish around 3:00 in the afternoon.
The activities may vary according to the needs that are generated in the project.
