About the program

Our Outreach Program in Tanzania is a dedicated healthcare initiative aimed at providing free medical care, check-ups, and essential health services to the underprivileged, particularly those living on where getting health access is a challenge. We understand the critical need for medical assistance among vulnerable communities and have undertaken this program to bridge the healthcare gap. Operating in both urban and rural areas, our mission is to reach as many people as possible, promoting health and well-being among those who need it the most.

Volunteer work:
Our dedicated team of medical professionals and healthcare volunteers conducts free medical check-ups, consultations, and provides necessary treatments. We offer services ranging from basic health assessments to addressing specific health concerns. Our goal is to diagnose, treat, and educate individuals on preventive healthcare measures.
Volunteers will play vital role in different station depends on his or her experience we have the following stations where volunteers can join.
  • FIRST STATION: Here we do registration, filling forms, and giving directions for next stations.
  • INTAKE STATION: Here we record  BP, weight, height, sugar,  general screening for Malaria, Malnutrition in pediatrics and General examination like skin infections.
  • PROVIDER /CONSULTATION STATION: Here certified drs provide a general consultations, interpretation of results to patients and explain the right management. Also refer to nearby clinic/hospital.
  • PHARMACY STATION: here we provide medicine for common illnesses and symptoms such as cough, headache, colds, malaria, Hypertension and anti fungal medications.  Which are prescribed by drs.
  • COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: we engage with communities during outreach to raise awareness about hygiene, disease prevention, and healthy living practices. We conduct workshops, distribute informational materials, and foster a sense of community responsibility towards health.
Program Challenges:

Running medical community outreaches services incurs significant costs, and to effectively reach urban and rural areas in Tanzania, financial support from individuals and organizations is crucial, some volunteers fundraise or support with some basic tools like BP machine, glucometer etc. The need is vast, and with your support through fundraising prior to arrival, we can extend our reach and provide healthcare to more people in need.

Why this program is important?

To make healthcare accessible to ordinary communities who cannot afford to visit healthcare facilities.

To offer education on healthcare related issues topics

To screen and offer first hand consultation, treatment and referral for complicated medical conditions to regional hospitals, this will give early detection and diagnosis of common conditions like Non communicable Diseases.

Exposure a participant to community healthcare issues, challenges and how to offer solutions in our communities.

We prioritize primary prevention over treatment in our communities.
