About the program

This is an in-country hands-on internship program, at the research center of the International Hellenic University in Thessaloniki (Greece) with provided shared housing and local team support.

Interns will have the opportunity to choose between four career paths: Drones, Electric Vehicles, Renewable Energy & Industry 5.0

Drones: Interns will have the opportunity to design, assemble, program drones and their sub-systems. The program is designed to be hands-on and allow the intern to work in various phases of the drone development including field work.

Electromobility: The participants will work across the spectrum of sustainable mobility solutions and sub-systems such as electric vehicles (cars, bikes, scooters), batteries, chargers, powertrains etc.

Renewable Energy: Photovoltaic systems (cells, batteries, power electronics, etc) will be the main applied research topics that the interns will work on, under a range of application areas (buildings, vehicles etc).

Industry 5.0: This internship focuses on getting hands on experience in human-centric technologies (AI, AR/VR, Blockchain, Cybersecurity, IoT, Robots and user interface/experience design) in order to support projects across a range of different industries.

The team is made-up by well known professors and PhD researchers involved with large engineering & academic projects around Europe, eliminating any language barriers and offering international expertise. Our engineering internship program offers pre-engineering & graduates students the opportunity to gain top quality experience interning on drones. With valuable experience, you’ll develop your skills and understanding of different engineering aspects.

Eligibility requirement: At least one year of undergraduate study completed, with a relevant scientific major such as electrical, electronic, mechanical, physics etc. Interns must have a genuine interest in engineering and commitment to observation of both practical and theoretical topics.

Internships start on Mondays (with arrival on a Sunday) and interns have a choice to participate to a program between a minimum of 2 weeks or up to a maximum of 12 weeks .

As for Greece, perhaps there is no need for an introduction. It is one of the most popular and safest destinations in the world. Situated in southeast Europe it is blessed with sun, friendly people, rich cuisine and a truly unique landscape that spans from green forests to the deep blue sea. With its 2,500 years of history and its 1,400 islands there is plenty to discover in Greece and it will satisfy the most demanding visitor. Greece is one of the warmest countries in Europe with long, hot & dry summers and mild winters. The popular time to visit Greece is between May to September end. Occasionally heatwaves may occur with temperatures peaking (1-2 days) around 105°F / 41°C.
