Groups

Update: from 01st November Costa Rica open his borders to all traveler. You can enter to Costa Rica without Covid test. We do need helping hands to offer to the kids to offer individual help to families. As Costa Rica is still in online course, the kids do need your help. Many parents and families do not speak English and are not able to help the kids during online classes. We do offer volunteer placements at the beach and close to the city. We would be happy for longer terms but also be happy to reseive you as short term volunteer!

You love children and you enjoy working with them? Then you are a perfect fit for our projects in Costa Rica. There is a huge difference between the school system as in Europe and the school system in Costa Rica. As during this time kids are in online course, it is a big challange to the families. Most parents still do not speak good English or no English. As well many families are not able to pay a privat teacher to help the kids with all the materials. Theirfore we are looking for volunteers who are well organized and willed to help. We highly looking for English Teacher and volunteers which are native speaker.

Typical day

A tipical day can be always different. Usually you do help families between 2-5 hours a day. We do set up small groups of 2-4 kids with you. Usually we do plan evvery children at least 2 times per week. Volunteers do help 5 days a week and do have 2 days a week off. As well we are open for volunteers who like to help 3-4 days a week. We would prefer longer term volunteers, as it would be a greater support for the kids.
Many hours are very flexible and depend on the volunteer and online classes of the student. It is very good to stay flexible.

Free-time activities

During your freetime you can do a lot of activities. In Costa Rica you can go by public bus/privat mini bus or rent a car easy to pazific and caribbian side. In and close to Uvita their are many acitivities to do such as: Hiking, Riding, Swimming and Snorkeling at beach you can make easy a trips on weekends.
