About the program

The Volunteers should spend some time with kids teaching them English ,Drawing and teach them about personal hygiene.The volunteers can  directly interact with the children and help them with their education and requirements.If the volunteers are interested they can setup a online crowdfunding campaign to meet the requirements of the kids.The kids should be taught how to make themselves self confident and focus on education to stand on their own in the future.There are several need for the kids such as a small van to transport them to school and some computers for the kids.It is more important how the volunteers make the kids realize the importance of education and the kids should learn some communication skills and technical skills to build up themselves in the coming days as they grow up.


Typical day

The day starts at 6.00 A.M and the kids gets refreshed themselves and later a morning prayer followed by breakfast.The School starts at 9.00 A.M and lunch at 12.30 P.M and the school ends at 4.00 P.M .Refreshments and some indoor games and dinner at 7.30 P.M

Free-time activities

In the Free time we have a couple of sight seeing trips to Historical places in neighborhood towns, visit museums and also spend time at a serene beach and enjoy with water sports.

What's Included

Services by Sharon Welfare Society

The fees includes food and accommodation and airport pickup. The collected fees will be used to purchase the needy items for the kids .example: provisions, blankets etc.

Airport Pickup at Vijayawada Airport

We can pickup from our nearest Airport in a car and we will drive you to the project site which takes less than an hour.

Accommodation

Its a large bedroom in which 4- 6 people can easily get accommodated ; there's an attached bathroom.Beds are provided based on the number volunteers visiting us .

Food & Beverages

We provide a typical south Indian food and We have a special arrangement for the volunteers. There's a refrigerator ,convection microwave if they wish to cook their own.Supplies can arranged at minimum extra charge.

Flight Tickets

The nearest airport is Vijayawada Airport (VGA) in Vijayawada. We assist you to find cheap flights to India. FIND CHEAP FLIGHTS

Travel Insurance

A non profit organization located in Andhra Pradesh, South India which helps the needy and destitute children in need providing them with their basic needs.

Meet your organization

The Sharon Children Home is under the aegis of Sharon Welfare Society a registered non profit  in Andhra Pradesh. The Children Home takes care of 60 destitute and needy kids who are taken care providing education .food and shelter.We are located in Mangalagiri, Guntur District of Andhra Pradesh ,South India.

Mission

Sharon Welfare Society works in array of areas, support to the needy ,vocational training ,education etc.but its primary focus is the care and protection of orphan children.The organization works hard to provide a loving home and family for every child in its care working hard to promote family relationships and impart a spirit of responsibility in every member of the organization.

1.To always remember that every child's life is priceless and to put the needs of the children above our own.

2.To work in partnership with other organizations and empowering local citizens to make a real difference in the community. 

3.To show the world that every child regardless of their needs, deserves to experience love and to be treated with dignity and care.

We are looking for young and enthusiastic volunteers who can spend their time with kids and motivate ,inspire and guide them.
