Our internships are designed for horse lovers only. We ask that you have a keen desire and passion for horses and a willingness to learn. During your stay with us you will learn how to truly connect with horses. Through practices of meditation, yoga and breath work you will learn to be fully present in the moment. This is where we meet the horses. By being fully present, learning how to live in the moment and cultivate our awareness we begin to hear and understand what horses are saying to us and we learn through techniques how to use our body language, energetic field and breath to communicate with the horse to influence their energy, their emotions and to connect at a deeper level with these majestic and noble sentient Beings.
You will experience, learn and practice Liberty Games with the horse, who remains completely free. Horses, when they are allowed to keep their free will and express themselves to us, have so much to offer and so much to teach us. They help us to understand ourselves, express ourselves clearly and reconnect with our lost inner child.
WE have rescued many horses and brought back the light in their eyes, the will and desire to live and enjoy life. Have you sometimes noticed horses with a dull eye, who seem totally uninterested in what humans are asking of them, responding mechanically but without joy? Learn how to bring back the light in their eyes and also to ignite yours!

The practices of Yoga, breathwork and meditation that we do with horses is a healing process for all that are present. The horses are often our guides during these moments, or gentle observers supporting us in our personal journey of healing, and also come forward and ask for healing. As we open the doors for a deeper connection with them, we also open the doors we have sometime closed on ourselves.

As a healer, it is not about healing others but facilitating harmony so that they can heal themselves. Allowing the healing to take place where and when it is needed in both horse and person.

By Sharing Sacred Space with the herd at liberty in meditations we open the space to allow things to happen. No expectations, no goals, just the awareness of the unfolding of experience moment to moment.

At the farm you will also practice what we call Community Karma, the Karma we create in the space we’re sharing together for a moment in time. In daily practice this means noticing how you can help the volunteer that shares a house with you, for example making sure you’re doing your duty in keeping the place clean and avoiding phone calls when you know they’re sleeping. Karma extends to the horses, making sure you don’t upset them by feeding them late, giving them a scratch in their favorite spot. Washing the dishes we’ve used in our meals together, and doing so with love and mindfulness, instead of getting agitated you focus on your actions and find peace in them.

In essence, Karma Yoga is the practice of giving and helping selflessly, while also being completely detached from the outcome. When you notice you can do something positive, you do it, because you can, and the fact that you can means you should, it’s your part to play in that moment. In Karma Yoga these actions are your offering to God, but you can also think of it as making as much of a positive impact on the world around you as you can.

Being neutral towards the outcome is also important, your happiness should come from the action itself, and not whether or not it’s rewarded, this way your happiness comes from within and can’t be taken away by disappointment, frustration or even failure. You’ve done your best, and that’s all that matters. This is important not only in our daily lives and doings but also in our actions and time spent with our horses, with nature, with all life around us.

You will also be asked to help with any ongoing projects we might have for helping animals in need such as street horses with a deworming program that we have created to generate funds to buy worm paste and worm them free of charge for the owner and to also help educate them on how they can take better care of their horses at no cost. They profit with healthier stringer horses and the horses are healthier and happier. Also involved in repopulation of the bees, which is a very interesting project. WE are in the process of having little bee houses made on the farm, to help with the bee population and pollenization of plants.
